There are a number of benefits to using fishing pellets as baits, particularly because they last longer and are easier to store than live baits. They are also hugely versatile, as they can be catapulted into the water, softened to use in feeders, or banded onto your hook. Each of these methods can be used to attract different fish, depending on where you are fishing and the time of year.

Fishing pellets are very attractive to fish, particularly if you are fishing in commercial waters. Fishing pellets were designed originally as a commercial foodstuff, high in protein to make them particularly attractive to species such as carp, tench, trout, barbell and bream. This makes them a popular choice for both coarse and carp fishing. They are also much softer than some other baits, meaning they will break down much more quickly when soaked and can easily be pressed for feeder fishing.
